The Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic is seeking an energetic and compassionate team-oriented staff dentist to join our staff and support our Waukesha and Menomonee Falls locations. Our two clinics serve as a dental home for Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington County children with Medicaid insurance. We also have adult programs that focus on emergent care, pregnant women and adults with special health care needs. The Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic was established in 2008 as a full time safety net clinic serving low income children, pregnant women and adults with special needs. In April of 2015, the Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry awarded the WCCDC an exclusive care grant that was awarded to only two dental clinics in the nation. The clinics are funded by donations, grants and Medicaid payments. The clinics operate from 8a-12p and 1p-4:30p Monday through Thursday and Friday from 8a-2p. Duties and Responsibilities Supports the mission, vision,and core values of the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic by emphasizing patient education and early prevention through clinical work. Teach patients and patients’ parents/guardians how to practice good oral hygiene. Serves as a member of our dentist staff team working towards the common goal of providing dental treatment that aligns with our mission and providing direction to dental hygienists and dental assistants to do the same. Approaches patient examination with the appropriate level of thoroughness in order to accurately diagnose and treatment plan for our patient population. Acts as a role model and leader for dental and administrative teams; setting positive attitude/tone and pace for the day. Uses feedback given from Clinical Manager and Director of Operations in order to meet clinic production goals. Uses missed appointments as an opportunity to accomplish auxiliary clinical tasks or accomplish other billable tasks with another patient. Attends staff dentist meetings and clinic staff meetings as available to foster clinic staff collaboration. Leads morning huddle promptly at 7:45am with the clinic team reviewing patients for the day. Education and Training Graduation from an accredited dental school. Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred. Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred. Complete necessary CE requirements for WI. Licensure and Credentials Unrestricted license to practice general dentistry in the state of Wisconsin. Current CPR (BLS) certification. Wisconsin DEA registration. Wisconsin Medicaid and HMO credentialed provider (credentialing completed by WCCDC Director of Operations). Our staff dentists are paid hourly with accompanying benefits based on part-time/full-time status. Both of our clinics use Dentrix. Between our two clinics we have 6 part-time staff dentists, 7 hygienists, 7 dental assistants and an admin staff to support the clinical team. Our Waukesha clinic has Pelton Crane equipment and our Menomonee Falls clinic (built in 2018) has new A-dec equipment. Both clinics have 6 operatories.
